Band Booking Request

Before you contact us about booking a show, please consider whether we are a good fit for each other. We do not book cover bands. We focus on original, Americana, and roots-style singer-songwriters and blues artists. Our capacity for seated shows is about 75. Our stage usually holds a max of 4-5 performers, depending on what instruments they are playing.

We are looking for artists who are charismatic storytellers, compelling performers, and good human beings. We will bend over backward to make sure you have an excellent experience at the 443; in return, we expect you to be polite and respectful to our waitstaff, door person, sound tech, and the guests who have paid to see you play.  We expect a 90-minute set with a possible encore or two or two 50-minute sets.

We are a fully seated venue with table service. Generally, our shows are “Listening room” style performances – talking amongst guests is discouraged when the artist is on stage, so your ability to connect with the audience is everything in our room. Our guests attend shows because they understand how powerful that connection can be. They also expect to be able to talk to you at the merch table after the show.

If you passing through our area and want to book a show, you need to have a fan base in Central New York. I’m looking for artists with some history of playing in the area. You must have a very active social media presence and at least a couple of EXCELLENT QUALITY videos of your live performance. Our core customers are huge fans of original live music and it’s a lot easier to convince them to check out a band they’ve never heard of when we share compelling examples of your work. Striking promo photos that show your personality is important, and it’s helpful if you have multiple options, both horizontal and vertically oriented.

We view promoting our shows as a collaborative effort. We promote on our social media channels and with our email list, and we expect our performers to do the same – after all, you know who your fans are way better than we do.

Once you are booked, you can find additional Artist Info HERE and tech specs HERE.

Due to the sheer volume of emails we get, I can’t respond to every request, and I’m truly sorry about that. As the owner of the 443, I wear a lot of hats. Booking requests go into a designated email folder and are reviewed periodically, so if you don’t hear back right away, it’s possible you might down the road as our needs change.
